I have spent the last 20 years of my life doing what I believe to be the most important job on earth—caring for my two beautiful kids. Now that they’re both off to college, I’m an empty nester with a lot of time. As a mom, I stayed actively involved in the community through projects hosted by the PTA. In addition, I have several years of experience providing care as an optician, which allowed me to interact with patients needing assistance with optical healthcare. My HR certification led to valuable experience in management and problem-solving. Over the last few years, due to COVID, I provided care for my aunt. Seeing her struggle to maintain autonomy sparked my passion for caregiving.
